The business that will find you office space and staff abroad

Who are you?
Neal Gandhi, chief executive officer and co-founder of Quickstart Global.
What do you do?
We help companies to set up offices and businesses in other countries by finding them staff and office space, and providing them with the support they need to expand internationally. We have offices in seven other countries around the world and we use our legal status in those territories to help other businesses launch there.
A lot of entrepreneurs can find it difficult to get the skills they need in this country and don’t think about looking overseas. In this sense, they are at a disadvantage when competing with larger businesses that have the budgets and resources to do this.
What does that mean in practice?
If you get in touch and let us know where you want to set up, how many employees you require, what skills they need to have, as well as your office space requirements, we will establish an operation for you within 90 days.
Currently, we have offices in the UK, US, India, Bulgaria, Nicaragua, Vietnam, South Africa and Taiwan, which means that we can work in any of those countries. After we have set up your operation, we will provide your company with all of its administration, human resources (HR) and IT support needs.
What size company suits you?
Mostly, we tend to work with small and medium-sized businesses. Our smallest client has just three UK-based staff; our largest has more than 300.
Why should I care?
Through the service we offer, we can remove the majority of the shackles that prevent entrepreneurs really maximising the potential of their businesses. We can help to create a level playing field for when they are competing with larger companies, as well as help them leverage the opportunities that are available in new markets.
What can you do for me that I can’t do for myself?
We can help you to set up in another country very rapidly, and find the talent that you need out there at a low cost. ‘From a small business to a multinational in three months’ is a phrase we say to potential clients.
What mistakes will you stop me from making?
We can prevent you from being lulled into a new country without the right level of support. Further down the road, we can help you to avoid finding yourself with liabilities and problems that you didn’t anticipate. We are established as a legal entity in all of the countries mentioned previously, and we employ your staff through our business, as well as handle the payroll and all the HR. It is very easy for a UK business to get tripped up by regional business laws and regulations.
Can you give me an example of the work you’ve done?
We had a client that had been trying to get established in the one of Baltic states. It had spent several months placing job advertisements and looking for staff, but had got nowhere. It came to us and within three months we had set it up with an office and staff in Sofia, Bulgaria, where it is still operating today. Also, it’s worth mentioning that this business is very small and only employs three staff in the UK.
Why should I trust you?
We have done it 35 times before and all our clients can be easily referenced. We think that we can help companies to transform their businesses, and we believe that a lot of people who we have worked with will say the same. Leading analyst firm, Gartner, has also recently named us as a Cool Vendor 2009.
What will it cost me?
It depends on the country that you are looking to launch into, but the costs start from £3,500 per person, and then from around £1,000 per month for each member of staff after that. This is an all-in figure, which tends to surprise people as it isn’t that much.
