Retired RAF technician swaps planes for franchising

ActionCOACH's Graham Orange has received an award for Service Leaver Franchisee of the Year 18 months after transitioning from the armed forces...

ActionCOACH franchisee Graham Orange is ‘flying high’ after scooping the accolade of Service Leaver Franchisee of the Year 2016 in the Nationwide Resettlement Awards, beating two other category finalists.

Orange, a former RAF chief technician, left the services in January 2015 after spotting an advert for the business coaching franchise and says he “loves his new career and lifestyle” and has “great job satisfaction”.

The Nationwide Resettlement Awards – run by Pathfinder International – celebrates the achievements of service leavers who have made the successful transition to life as a civilian.

This is the second consecutive win at the awards for ActionCOACH; franchisee and ex-Army captain Steve Gaskell took home the prize in 2015.

Orange and Gaskell are two of over 1,000 ActionCOACH franchisees operating across the globe; providing specialist coaching to businesses of all sizes – from private individuals to large organisations like Natwest.

Fellow franchisee Jamie Goral, based in the London area, is also in the running to become Startups Awards 2016 Franchisee of the Year.

On the award win, Orange commented:

“I felt honoured to be nominated as a finalist in the Service Leavers Franchisee of the Year award […] little did I know that I would be walking away with the trophy and the biggest smile ever!

“I am truly grateful to those who supported me over the last 18 months and enabled me to receive this prestigious award. Thank you all.”
