Regus opens latest mobile business centre at Westbound M4 services

Moto announcement follows deals with Extra and Welcome Break for similar centres

Global workspace provider Regus has announced the opening of its latest business lounge at Leigh Delamere service station on the M4, set to allow mobile workers and virtual businesses a connected office on the move.

The workspace, opened in conjunction with service station operator Moto Hospitality, will offer businesses on the move a large co-working office space, in addition to a number of private workspaces, meeting rooms and WiFi connectivity.

It is part of a wider move by Regus to capitalise on the growing number of virtual businesses and surge in demand for flexible or ‘third place’ working in the UK.

The opening follows the launch of three similar centres in commuter belt areas of Surrey, Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire in November of last year.

Regus followed its deal with Extra Motorway Service Area Group by opening a Regus Express centre at Welcome Break’s Membury Services on the M4 in May this year.

Regus says the earlier centres have experienced a month-on-month growth in footfall since launch, becoming popular with both local firms and business travellers.

The new site will be located at Leigh Delamere services on the Westbound M4, catering to travellers between Swindon and Bristol.

John Spencer, chief executive of Regus UK, said: “The last decade has seen a revolution in workplace attitudes and habits, creating millions of mobile and nomadic workers who aren’t confined to the traditional office anymore. Providing them with business services on the go, from WiFi to workstations to printing facilities, is an exciting and largely untapped opportunity for transport operators.

“We are proud that Moto has identified Regus as best placed to support the mobile work needs of its customers.”
