Workforce management software provider Selima acquired by The Access Group

Deal will expand Access Group's range of products for the UK academy schools sector and creates new products for retail and hospitality

Selima, a provider of cloud-based workforce management software, has been acquired by software company The Access Group.

With offices in Sheffield and Salford, Selima develops human resources, payroll and workforce management software to businesses across hospitality, retail, commercial, education, public sector, manufacturing and care.

Its 300 customers, including Hawksmoor, Young’s Brewery, Academies Enterprise Trust as well as a number of local authorities, range in size from 50 to 20,000 employees.

The deal will enhance Access Group’s product portfolio for the UK academy schools sector and create a new suite of products for the retail and hospitality sector.

Wayne Blakemore, Selima’s current managing director will remain with Access to oversee the future growth of the business.

Blakemore commented: “I am confident the Access Group is the perfect home for the products, customers and employees of Selima. It will help take what we have achieved with Selima in the last five years to the next level.”
