Semi-finalists announced for Pitch to Rich 2015

Oppo Ice Cream, what3words and JustPark among 32 start-ups now in with a chance of pitching to Sir Richard Branson and winning share of £1m

The semi-finalists of Sir Richard Branson’s Pitch to Rich 2015 competition have been announced today, with the opportunity to win a share of the £1m prize fund.

Selected from 250 shortlisted entries with over 550,000 votes cast, the 32 semi-finalists include car parking app JustPark, Startups Top 20-listed mapping device what3words and innovative food start-up Oppo Ice Cream which recently closed £300,000 in a “record-breaking” crowdfunding campaign.

Voting has now re-opened for users to back their favourite businesses from the list – the nine pitches with the most votes will then present their ideas in a live finale to Branson, Jo Malone, Justine Roberts, Jon Oringer and David Gandy in Tech City on June 26.
