Serial franchisee opens ninth Papa John’s store

Leading pizza franchise increases its UK network with new outlet in Brighton

Serial franchisee Ahmed Eldessouki has opened his ninth Papa John’s branch in the Brighton area.

Eldessouki, whose other eight outlets are dotted throughout the South East, has ambitious plans to open an additional 11 Papa John’s stores in South London and along the South coast within the next five years.

Established in the US in 1994, Papa John’s is one of the world’s largest pizza chains with over 280 franchises in the UK currently and a presence in 36 international markets.

The pizza group is keen to increase its network reach, running an incentive scheme throughout 2015 that offers discounted royalty fees, marketing spend and equipment for new branches in the Midlands, Wales, the North West, North East and Scotland.

Discussing his impressive growth to date and why the seaside area of Brighton was the right choice for his latest outlet, Eldessouki commented:

“Over the years, with funding from the bank [and] support from Papa John’s […] I have been able grow a successful business, employing more than 100 people across all my stores.

“Brighton is the latest exciting addition. It’s a thriving town of more than a quarter of a million population including a large student community, so really does offer a hot opportunity!”
