Young Gun-founded email marketing platform to merge offering with hosting giant

European web hosting giant Host Europe Group today announced the purchase of email marketing platform, for an undisclosed sum.

Founded by Class of 2007 Young Gun Matt McNeill, operates a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform which claims to allow its customers to easily create “powerful and personalised” email and text marketing campaigns.

Host Europe Group said it recognised the value in’s offering, purchasing the platform with a view to integrating the service with its existing suite of tools targeted at small businesses.

The European hosting giant said the deal meant would quickly be able to scale up operations in the UK and Germany by targeting Host Europe Group’s million-strong customer base.

Eventually, Host Europe said the two companies would fully integrate to provide marketing services alongside the managed hosting and domain solutions the firm currently offers.

Founded in 1997, Host Europe Group is the largest private hosting group in Europe, offering a range of services through its portfolio of brands which include 123-reg, DomainFACTORY, Webfusion, Heart Internet and Host Europe. founder Matt McNeill will stay involved with the business following the purchase, although it is unclear in what capacity.

McNeill will also retain the Australian arm of and sister business following the deal.
