Signs Express welcome new Croydon franchisee following resale opportunity

Mark Merrick is the new owner of the sign and graphics manufacturer's Croydon outlet

Sign and graphics manufacturing franchise Signs Express has celebrated the addition of Mark Merrick as the new franchisee of its Croydon centre.

Having previously worked as a surveyor in the building and restoration industry, Merrick intends to build on the chain’s plan to expand its existing customer base as well as recruit new staff.

Founded by David Corbett and Frank Eliel in 1989, Signs Express produces a range of signs and graphics and has a network of sign production franchises throughout the UK and Ireland.

The chain has franchise opportunities available from £20,000, a fee which they will reinvest into the business to help franchisees “reach profitability even quicker”.

Merrick said: “With a long history in Croydon, Signs Express has an excellent reputation and a solid customer base so I was very interested in taking on the opportunity. The signs and graphics industry is a great business venture as every business needs a sign.”

Craig Brown, managing director of Signs Express, added: “We are delighted to have Merrick on board. He has a customer focused ethos to provide a quality and reliable service that sits very well with our own.”
