SPANX inventor and A-list model among judges of VOOM 2016

Competition where businesses pitch their ideas to Sir Richard Branson to win £1m has enlisted Sara Blakely and Tyra Banks on "stellar" judging panel

Start-ups and small businesses competing to win Virgin Media Business’ ‘VOOM 2016’ will now be presenting their ideas to model-turned-entrepreneur Tyra Banks and SPANX founder Sara Blakely, alongside Sir Richard Branson.

Vlogger sensation (video blogger) Marcus Butler and Virgin Media Business managing director Peter Kelly have also been announced in the new judging line-up for the live finale; taking place on June 28.

Running for a fifth year, VOOM (previously known as Pitch to Rich) looks to identify the most exciting and innovative businesses across the UK and Ireland and is this year offering businesses the chance to win a share of a £1m prize fund, receive a trip to Necker Island, and win mentoring at 10 Downing Street.

Last year’s winners included parking app JustPark, self-service currency machine Fourex and hologram specialist Kino-Mo; chosen after pitching to Branson and high-profile entrepreneurs such as Jo Malone and David Gandy.
