Staff task dashboard Klipboard clinches $900,000 seed funding

Software start-up is designed to be used by companies with remote workers and wants to enable UK businesses to "become paper-free"

Klipboard, an early-stage staff management platform, has announced a $900 seed funding round backed by a Seattle-based private equity firm and a group of angel investors.

Based in London’s Borough High Street, Klipboard’s mobile app and web dashboard enables companies to manage staff remotely by enabling employees who work outside of the office to complete forms, reports and tasks on their tablet and mobile.

It intends to make UK companies “paper-free” by getting them to use its service rather than “scribbling on paper and wasting time re-writing” and says it can be used by businesses with 10 employees up to 10,000 employees.

It will use the investment to pursue “strategic growth in the UK”.

Klipboard CEO, Draven McConville, said of the round:
“Klipboard enables businesses to become significantly more productive and efficient. […] This seed funding reinforces the value of our product and brand, enabling us to support even more UK companies to become paper-free.”
