Hosted by insurance broker Simply Business, sponsor of the Startups Awards, the event will be held at London’s City Hall next Wednesday 12 November and will include a keynote speech from David Cameron’s enterprise advisor Lord Young.

Leading entrepreneurs such as Pimlico Plumber founder Charlie Mullins, King of Shaves founder Will King, Oli Barrett MBE, founder of Cospa and co-founder of StartUp Britain, and other high-profile names such as the Federation for Small Businesses’ Graeme Fisher, MP Damian Collins, and Simply Business CEO Jason Stockwood, will also be discussing the small and medium enterprise sector.

In addition,’s editorial director Ian Wallis will be at the event chairing a debate amongst a small business panel.

The event will see the announcement of a “landmark” report on the state of the micro business and sole trader community which claims to look at the way these types of businesses feel they are “being unrepresented in government policy”.
