Startups 100 2016: Deadline extended for entries

The UK's best and brightest start-up businesses now have until Friday 1 April to apply to feature in the industry-renowned index

The deadline for the Startups 100 2016 index – the annual ranking of the UK’s top 100 new businesses launched in the last three years – has been extended to Friday 1 April, giving you extra time to submit your entry.

Now in its seventh year, the Startups 100 is the longest running index of its kind and shines a light on the country’s most exciting and innovative early-stage businesses with fast-growth potential, original concepts and forward-thinking founders.

The index has unearthed some of the UK’s finest businesses since the first 100 list in 2008, with an alumni which includes household names such as Notonthehighstreet.com, Zoopla, and YPlan.

The 2015 index uncovered a number of start-up success stories from 24/7 online estate agency Purplebricks (which recently floated on AIM), to car comparison site carwow, and student accommodation marketplace Uniplaces. The 2016 list will look to discover a similarly outstanding group of emerging businesses.

To be eligible for the Startups 100, businesses must be privately owned, based in the UK, and launched on, or after, January 1 2013.

Entries for the Startups 100 2016 will now close on Friday April 1, download an entry form here and follow updates via the official Twitter hashtag #startups100
