Are you a hot UK start-up? The entry deadline for the Startups 100 2018 is now April 3

You now have 10 more days to enter the prestigious index join alumni that including Notonthehighstreet and Levi Roots’ Reggae Reggae Sauce

The UK’s most disruptive early stage businesses now have an extra 10 days to get their entries in for the Startups 100 2018.

The annual index – which has previously been awarded Silver Editorial Campaign of the Year by the British Media Awards – celebrates exciting and innovative companies that have the potential to grow and excel in their industries, creating jobs and boosting the UK economy.

E-commerce mattress firm eve Sleep was named as the number one company on 2017’s index, thanks to its major global growth and ongoing innovation.

Companies that have ranked in previous years have gone on to secure new clients and customers, and attract new investment opportunities as a result of the free exposure.

Last year’s roster of incredible businesses, which included on demand laundry service Laundrapp, peer-to-peer crowdfunding platform Property Partner, Climb Online – the digital marketing agency founded by Apprentice-winner Mark Wright – and darts activity bar Flight Club.

Previous years have counted Notonthehighstreet, Levi Roots’ Reggae Reggae Sauce, and Aberdeen-based brewery BrewDog.

Between them, they employed 2,187 staff and were turning over an average of £1.64m, highlighting how essential these small businesses are to the UK economy.

To be eligible for the Startups 100 2018, your business must have been launched on or after January 1 2015, be UK-based and privately-owned.

The judges will assess entrants on the following criteria:

  • An innovative USP
  • Exceptional founders
  • Employee numbers and contribution to the company
  • Amount of funding raised or impressive organic growth
  • Traction to date, including current financials
  • Potential for growth
  • Global ambitions
