Startups 100-listed scales “rapidly” with new senior hires

Home cleaning start-up recognised as ‘Best Angel-VC deal of the Year’ by UK Business Angels Association

Professional home cleaning service, featured in the 2014 Startups 100, has ramped up growth with the recruitment of new senior members including Conversocial and BBC iPlayer software developer Gareth Lloyd and start-up entrepreneur Rakesh Patni.

Launched in January 2014, offers an online platform where users can book, manage and pay for fully trained, insured and English-speaking cleaners.

Having recently raised $1m, the cleaning start-up’s new hires come from a range of consumer services, operations and technology backgrounds and sees Exchange Group employee Lisa Pirrett join as head of operations and developer Lloyd join as head of technology.

Completing its senior team is New Entrepreneurs Foundation graduate Lauren Hornbuckle, and start-up founder Patni, who founded and successfully exited Miraura Gems.

The recruitment drive builds on its recent success having won the accolade of ‘Best Angel-VC Deal of the Year’ at the 2014 UK Business Angels Awards, and attending an event at 10 Downing Street to discuss entrepreneurship. founder and CEO, Avin Rabheru, said:
