60 exceptional start-ups named as finalists for 12th annual awards with voting now open for People's Champion title...

Startups.co.uk has announced the names of the 60 exceptional start-up businesses chosen as finalists for the Startups Awards 2015.

Running for its 12th year, the Startups Awards celebrates and recognises the achievements of the UK’s most innovative, exciting and inspirational new businesses launched in the last four years.

Selected from hundreds upon hundreds of entries, the finalists will now be judged by a panel of high-profile entrepreneurs and business leaders including Cath Kidston MBE, JUST EAT CEO David Buttress, Notonthehighstreet.com co-founder Holly Tucker MBE, Dragons’ Den star Touker Suleyman, and MyVoucherCodes.co.uk founder Mark Pearson.

This year, there were 13 categories to enter including new categories Lean Start-up of the Year, App of the Year, and Export Business of the Year, alongside established awards titles such as Service Business of the Year and Innovative Business of the Year.

On receipt of entries, we decided to create a new award for the start-ups so exciting that we couldn’t ignore them – Rising Star of the Year – because we think these budding businesses have the potential to become the stellar brands of tomorrow.

The overall prize, Simply Business Startups Business of the Year, will be awarded to one exceptional start-up selected from the winners of the other categories.

All 60 finalists are also eligible for the Startups Awards People’s Champion Award title – you can vote for your favourite start-up on each individual page, or at the bottom of this page.

Winners will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony held at Vinopolis, London Bridge hosted by comedian Alun Cochrane on the evening of Friday November 27.
