Key to their success has been the fun design of the packaging which appeals to children. This innovative product has already helped many parents to increase their child&rsquo;s consumption of fruit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Judges comments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Working closely with schools throughout the UK to boost kids&rsquo; consumption of fruit and channelling some of its revenues into children&rsquo;s charities in the UK, East Africa and Romania, this business hit all the right notes for the judges. Creatively supporting the government&rsquo;s five-a-day programme, Fruity Faces products are inflatable fruits with friendly faces for children to carry and protect their fruit while at school. Through an innovative revenue-sharing scheme the company donates 30p of every product sold to the school concerned. In addition it generates sales via wholesale, retail, charities, sports clubs, mail order catalogues, and licensing agreements.
