It’s one minute to kick off and you’re still pacing the streets desperate to find one venue showing the game – what do you do? Started
\nwhile he was still at university, Leo MacLehose’s MatchPint allows sports fans to find the nearest pub showing their chosen match and invite their friends – from rugby to football, cricket and golf.<\/p>\n

But its not just the fans that benefit – the app operates as a B2B product, enabling pubs and sports venues to drive revenue by organising, marketing and measuring their offering. Venues simply pay an annual subscription to MatchPint, which also charges to feature on its ‘Best Pubs’ pages and to run in-app campaigns.<\/p>\n

The platform has already run campaigns with Heineken and Diageo and is planning to expand this to a number of major consumer brands in the coming months, as well as packaging and selling the valuable data accumulated from fans and venues. <\/b><\/p>\n

Why MatchPint made our 60: <\/b><\/h3>\n

MatchPint has found a novel but lucrative way to capitalise on a huge market, while benefiting everyone from the fans who watch the games to the sports’ venues, brands and the sports themselves. Having recently closed a £1m Series A funding round and with traffic increasing by 823% in a year, this start-up looks to have it in the back of the net. <\/b><\/p>\n
