Startups’ digital advertising competition value triples to £135k – winners announced!

We can today reveal who has won the incredible digital advertising prize offered by VeriFone Media, global leaders in taxi media solutions, and taxi-top advertising technology company Eyetease, in conjunction with

The huge news is they were so impressed with the high quality of entrants that they’ve chosen THREE winners who will each win a £45,000 advertising campaign to run across London.

Mobile booking app YPlan, overall winner of the 2013 Startups Awards, low-cost gym service, featured in the 2013 Startups 100, and fellow Startups 100 company, food delivery specialists, Hello Fresh will each receive a package of ad slots to be displayed across VeriFone’s digital taxi network to broadcast to 1.4m Londoners.

The taxi media specialists will provide a fleet of five London taxis to broadcast each of the winner’s campaigns from their iTaxiTop high definition, LCD roof-mounted, double-sided screens.

Selected from well over 200 start-up entries, the three winning businesses will each get one ad slot and their ad is guaranteed to play 90,000 times (18,000 per taxi) across a two week period, delivering the ad to an audience of over 400,000 people.

In addition, the three successful start-ups are each getting a 30 second ad slot on 2,500 VeriFone Media in-cab screens, equating to an audience of over one million taxi passengers viewing the ad!
