Student pitch competition winning start-up launches

Company designed to help consumers make decisions in 60 seconds launches, a start-up aimed at supporting consumers with product purchasing decisions, has launched today.

The launch follows success for the student-led start-up at the National Association of College and University Entrepreneurs (NACUE) Varsity Pitch grand final, where the company was named the overall winner and awarded £10,000.

Prior to this, co-founders Anthony Ng Monica, Dimitar Kazakov, Ivor Stankov, Lucy Foster and Andre Rego secured seed investment through crowdfunding platform Seedrs.

The free service currently advises users solely on laptops, inviting them to answer laptop-based questions, before suggesting the most suitable device based on their answers, along with an explanation of why it suits the user’s needs.

The London-based start-up, which aims to help consumers to choose their ideal laptop in 60 seconds is set to expand into other electrical goods soon, while the student-led team is planning to launch in the US in January 2013.
