Success at Swisher

Mark Noburn of Swisher Sheffield wins 'Franchisee of the Year'

Mark Norburn of Swisher Sheffield has been named ‘Swisher Franchisee of the Year 2004’ at their Annual Conference and Awards Dinner.

“I am absolutely delighted,” Norburn said, after winning the award. With the franchisee appearing to be on track to hit £500,000 turnover in 2005, he seemed to be the natural choice.

According to Jefferey Keen, MD of Swisher, ”Not only has he worked closely with his staff and customers to grow a successful Swisher franchise, but Mark is generous with the support and advice he selflessly gives to his fellow franchisees. Franchising is all about teamwork and with the excellent support of franchisees like Mark, the Swisher network continues to flourish.”

Noburn afterwards added: “This success us due to the hard work of the Swisher Sheffield team, and in particular to my sales executive and service manager.” Other prizes at the Dinner included ‘New Franchisee of the Year’ for Mark Melton, who pulled in £78,000 of new business in just three months.

Set up in 1997, Swisher UK itself won the ‘HSBC Award for Enterprise’ at the BFA Franchisor of the Year Awards 2004, and is a full member of the British Franchise Association. Currently, a total of 59 franchise territories provide its washroom and sanitation service.
