TaxAssist franchisee opens third outlet in space of 10 years

Bruce Burrowes is hoping his new Kingston location will capitalise on "growing demand" for accountancy services from new and existing businesses in the area

Independent accountancy franchise TaxAssist has demonstrated the growth potential of its franchise opportunity with news that its franchisee Bruce Burrowes has opened his third outlet after nearly 10 years working for the chain.

Burrowes, who runs TaxAssist Surbition and Wimbledon, already has a client base of over 600 small businesses and has opened a third shop in nearby Kingston to cater to the needs of business owners and start-ups in the area.

He is one of over 200 franchisees that operate on behalf of TaxAssist and has said that, in the space of almost 10 years, he has seen a “continued and growing demand” for TaxAssist services.

Established in 1995, TaxAssist Accountants claims to be the UK’s largest network of accountants working specifically for small businesses and the self-employed and its franchisees currently look after over 60,000 small business clients.

The chain is accredited by the British Franchise Association and has franchises available to purchase from £36,950 + VAT and working capital.

On his franchise experience, Burrowes commented:

“The Surbiton shop has been adding value to businesses in Kingston for many years so it seemed like the right time to open a shop in Kingston itself. I’m hoping it will make it easier for local small businesses to pop in on their breaks and get the support and advice they need from us.”
