Taylor Wessing launches free start-up term sheet document builder

Law firm's new service aims to mitigate the process of securing early stage finance

Law firm Taylor Wessing has launched a free legal document builder for start-ups and entrepreneurs seeking seed investment.

The platform allows early stage tech companies to draft non-binding term sheets to help them start raising growth capital, simply by answering a number of questions. There are three types of documents available to review, edit, copy or download: ordinary shares, EIS (A ordinary) shares and seed shares.

The document builder is available through the law firm’s early stage advice micro-site and you can access it here.

Simon Walker, partner at Taylor Wessing commented: “This development will enable entrepreneurs to save time and money when looking to raise capital, and will also provide guidance as to the terms typically seen in seed funding rounds.

“Three years ago, we made freely available a suite of seed investment documents – the provision of a document builder for term sheets is a natural extension of that facility.”
