Tech City boss and ex-Facebook VP set to share social media insights

Joanna Shields to speak at free Imperial College Business School event

Joanna Shields, former vice president and managing director of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Facebook and now boss of Tech City is set to share her technology and social media experiences at Imperial College Business School. The chief executive of UK Trade and Investment’s (UKTI) Tech City Investment Organisation, established to support East London’s tech hub, Shields will be speaking at the event on Thursday February 21. The free annual event sponsored by KPMG is set to run across five dates from Thursday February 7 to Monday March 18, where other leading business figures including John MacArthur, vice president of CO2 policy at Shell International and Rolls Royce Group’s director of research and technology Ric Parker will also be speaking.

Ignazio Visco, Italian economist and governor of the Banca d’Italia, is also making an appearance at the event series, where he will be discussing the Eurozone crisis, while KPMG’s Marianne Fallon is set to conclude the events with a discussion of business place diversity on March 18.
