Very simply, what does your tech start-up do?

  • is a brand new online letting agency for the private residential rental sector.
  • It assists landlords who would like to source tenants and tenants who would like to find a new home, utilising technology to streamline the service and make it more cost effective.
  • provides the first let completely free for all new properties on the platform, and offers enhanced letting services and management – all for a fixed, low-cost price.

Tell us why there’s a need – what do you disrupt?

The current property lettings market is dominated by expensive, high street letting agents. While high street agents may dominate the market now, they do not have the capacity or technological capability to compete with the fast-developing online industry. A mere 6% of property sales and lettings are currently carried out online – the team at believe they can massively increase that figure.

The lettings fee ban due to come into force next year means costs will be passed onto landlords. This, coupled with lower tax relief, means there is a vast need for low-cost lettings options; so has devised a wealth of affordable packages.

These services will allow landlords to advertise their properties on the site, as well as on all other major property advertising portals. There is even the possibility for full management if required, at a fraction of the cost of traditional high street letting agents.

What sets us apart from other online agencies is our more tenant-focused approach. We concentrate on the unique use of dominant innovative search tools, allowing clients to find their property on our homepage.

In contrast, most other platforms rely solely on other popular portals to generate leads. Currently most online lettings websites are focused purely on landlord services, and those booking have to rely on other property websites to actually find and reserve property.

What were you doing before you started

Both co-founders worked at – the student version of – together for the last three years. I (Danielle Cullen, managing director of both busiensses) studied law at university and moved into lettings pretty much from the start of my career.

Simon was an investor in and came on board full time in 2016 to help with the launch of, as he saw such great potential. His main background is in financial trading, but he is also a buy-to-let landlord.

What’s the best thing about where you’re based?

We are actually located in a quiet corner of Kent, but as an online-only business we have no need to be located somewhere busy or start-up centered, as we already have the key experience built from

Being based here also means that we do not have huge office rental overheads, so we can create higher profit margins. We have our key team from here who have a wealth of experience and are able to drive any new staff members who join.
