Tech start-ups offered showcase opportunity at London Technology Week founding event

15 businesses given chance to present to “10,000 attendees” at ExCeL Internet World exhibition

Internet World, a founding event of this year’s inaugural London Technology Week, has opened entries for its Startup Showcase competition, offering 15 tech start-ups the chance to showcase their business at its online technology exhibition.

Applicants will be judged by a panel of “industry thought leaders” including tech accelerators Level 39 and Collider, with the 15 chosen start-ups each receiving an exhibition package worth £7,000.

The package will include exhibition space and furniture, pre-show marketing, on-site promotions and individual mentoring sessions with Level 39.

Part of Internet World’s ‘Future of Technology’ programme, the event is taking place from June 17 to June 19 at London’s ExCeL arena and is expected to attract over 10,000 attendees.

It is one of a series of programmes and events running from June 16-20 to help champion the capital as a “global tech hub”.

Internet World event manager, Nathalie Davies, commented: “We’re really excited to offer this free space to start-ups and hope to find 15 of the most innovative new tech businesses to impress our visitors.

“The start- ups will of course gain fantastic exposure from their time at Internet World as they’ll be showcasing their product to tens of thousands of potential buyers”.
