7. Telecom Italia

Europe’s 25 Corporate Startup Stars winner offers a diverse range of programmes for creating new products

Telecom Italia (TI) has a very well structured ecosystem of support for digital start-ups.

Through an excellent range of events and programmes, it nurtures early-stage business, from incubation and acceleration to acquisition and investment.

As well as four accelerators, in Italy, with a team of mentors and with tailored tools – e.g. a dedicated fast track suppliers process – it also promotes start-ups internally, to other parts of the company, and externally, to partners and clients.

For example, Pedius, a communication system, which helps deaf and hard-of-hearing people to make phones calls, has helped TI launch the first Italian call centre for deaf people.
