We have made the decision to pause the competition until September because:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Although much of the process is digital, the most important part of the process is the half day &lsquo;deep dive&rsquo; we have with each of the finalists (later on in the process). These sessions give us a chance to delve into the proposition and strategy with the founding teams and see if there is the chemistry to create a successful relationship. Without these face to face meetings, we wouldn&rsquo;t feel confident to be making an investment decision.<\/li>\n<li>We need to concentrate on supporting the businesses we already have in our portfolio through the challenges they are facing and will continue to face over the next few months.<\/li>\n<li>We, and the investors that trust us with their money, need more clarity about the many economic and social impacts of Coronavirus before making any investment decisions.<\/li>\n<li>It is likely that any business seeking funding also needs to work out what the impact of Coronavirus will be before finalising any investment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please leave us your contact details <a href=\"https:\/\/www.startupseries.uk\/Competition\">here<\/a> and we&rsquo;ll drop you a reminder when we re-open in September.
