BIZZBY is looking to “change the way people and businesses work in a smartphone world” starting with its on-demand app which can send a local professional to your door in less than 30 minutes.

From handymen to cake makers, the ‘three tap’ app offers consumers access to a vetted workforce, available 24/7, with payment for the service made via its in-house mobile payment system InstantPay. It’s this simple proposition that has seen the 2014 Startups Awards finalist secure early-stage growth with over 5,000 service professionals now signed up to its platform to support more than two million job requests.

And that’s not the only impressive milestones the tech start-up has achieved; in just 11 months the app has been downloaded 80,000 times and revenues have grown to £850,000 for year-end 2014, with a staggering £3.7m turnover projected for 2015.

Overseas investors have also identified BIZZBY’s potential; earlier this year the mobile start-up raised $10m from a New York hedge fund to support its plans for expansion in not just the UK, but Europe, Asia, the Middle East and America.

Founders Rohan Sinclair Luvaglio, Michael Camilleri-Ferrante and Howard Lewis have big ambitions for the company with the ultimate goal to see “BIZZBY it” gain similar traction to the ever popular “Google it” phrase.
