Trampolining start-up AirHop lands £6m funding round

Bristol-based wall-to-wall trampolining activity provider will use investment to create 18 new sites across the UK and Europe

AirHop, a UK start-up which specialises in trampoline-based leisure facilities, has secured £6m growth capital funding from Santander Corporate & Commercial.

Founded in 2013, Bristol-based AirHop operates two indoor trampoline parks in Bristol and Guildford which offer activities such as wall to wall trampolining, foam pits and dodge ball.

The business, which caters for families, groups and parties, has reported annual turnover of £5m from its two sites.

The funding will be used to build 18 new sites in the UK and Europe over the next three to five years, with plans to create more than 1,500 jobs and generate £40m in revenue by 2020.

Darren Hedges, managing director of AirHop Ltd, commented: “The confidence shown by the Santander team in the brand and its international growth potential, along with the flexibility of its growth capital financing product, was the critical factor in our choice of funding partner and we are very pleased to have found a bank that shares our vision.”
