Trio of Growing Business award winners make Rich List supplement
Eisenberg, Barnett and Hildreth all honoured
A trio of former Growing Business awards winners were included in the Sunday Times Rich List supplement yesterday.
Zef Eisenberg, who made Growing Business’ Young Guns list in 2006 and claimed the Company of the Year title in 2007’s Fast Growth Business Awards, was named in the main rich list with a personal fortune of £82m.
According to The Sunday Times, Eisenberg’s wealth increased by £20m last year, thanks largely to the sale of his sports supplements company Maximuscle.
Meanwhile two other Young Guns alumni, Sam Barnett and Adam Hildreth, were named in the 50 Richest Young People chart which ran alongside the rich list in yesterday’s supplement.
Barnett, who made the Young Guns list last year, was ranked 7th place in the 50 Richest chart, thanks to the success of his online advertising business Struq – which increased revenues twelve-fold last year.
Hildreth, a young gun in 2008,was ranked 13th with a personal fortune of £22m, based on anti-grooming and child protection technology for the internet.
Kate Walters, editor of Growing Business, said:
“It’s always great to see Young Guns alumni continuing their success, and the inclusion of Zef Eisenberg, Sam Barnett and Adam Hildreth on the list is a clear validation of their entrepreneurial talent.”
