Attention UK start-ups! Entries for the 14th annual Startups Awards are now open, giving you the chance receive a business boosting combination of endorsement, media exposure and validation.
Established in 2004, making it the longest running awards of its kind, the Startups Awards celebrates exceptional and entrepreneurial UK businesses launched in the last four years and has gained an industry-wide reputation for unearthing top start-up talent.
Previous winners, which include Gousto, Notonthehighstreet.com, Appear Here, the Cambridge Satchel Company, and last year’s overall winner and Startups Business of the Year Onfido, have all scaled to achieve monumental success.
With The Start Up Loans Company as headline sponsor, the 2017 awards is open to UK-based, privately-owned businesses with excellent potential launched on or after August 1 2013.

This year, the Startups Awards boasts 15 awards categories including established accolades such App of the Year, Innovative Business of the Year, Export Business of the Year and the Women in Business Award, alongside new awards for 2017 including The Start Up Loans Inspiring Entrepreneur of the Year.
There is also a separate accolade, the People’s Champion Award, which is voted for by Startups.co.uk readers and industry. All 50 shortlisted start-up businesses will be eligible for this award.
The overall prize of The Start Up Loans Start-up of the Year will be awarded to the most impressive business from all of the categories, as decided by a high-profile judging panel.
While the judging line-up is yet to be revealed, you can expect a similar calibre of judges to our 2016 panel which included Innocent Drinks and JamJar Investments co-founder Jon Wright, Cath Kidston MBE, Forward Partners’ Nic Brisborne, and Moonpig founder and Dragons’ Den star Nick Jenkins.
