Umi hotels advertise forward-thinking franchise opportunities

Pioneering hotel group launches mobile apps in Brighton, London and Moscow

umi Hotels has opportunities for new franchisees to join its independent hotel group. The progressive company, started by Steve Lowy in 2007, is seeking both fledgling franchisees with an interest in building their own hotel, and existing independent hotel owners with a desire to re-brand. Lowy, who was selected as one of British business’s top 30 Young Guns by our sister site Growing Business last year, has a mission to re-brand the three-star hotel industry with a focus on high service, low cost accommodation. He is today also announcing the release of two new mobile apps, tailor-made for existing and potential customers of umi’s hotels in Brighton, London and Moscow. umi Brighton, London and Petrovka Loft will become the first hotels in their respective cities to have a dedicated app feature in Google Play’s app store – with each offering the functionality for customers to book a room, download travel information and see what’s on in the local area during their stay. Ian Hawkins, MD of AppConnect365, who developed the apps, said “umi have been using social media for four years and are a company that punches above its weight in terms of technology adoption.” For more information on The umi Group and becoming a franchisee, visit the Join umi website.
