Vehicle cleaning franchise Autosmart announces £1.9m “record” sales for Jan 2014

Firm celebrates 35th anniversary with growth up by 36% since recession

Professional vehicle cleaning franchise Autosmart has reported “record” sales of £1.9m for the month of January 2014 with growth up by 36% since the recession hit in 2008; achievements announced in aid of its 35th year in business.

Celebrating the success of its franchise network to date with 117 territories across the UK, the company claims its “business has never looked better for franchisees”.

Established in 1979, Autosmart claims to be the UK’s largest manufacturer of professional vehicle cleaning products and offers a van-based franchise opportunity whereby its products are taken directly to customers.

In May, the company also celebrated being the “only” business shortlisted for two categories in the 2014 bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards; Franchisor of the Year and Franchisee Recruitment, with the winners announced later this month.

Discussing its franchise success to date, Autosmart managing director, Sophie Atkinson, said:

“Our franchisees have the benefit of more customers and each of these customers is buying more because they are busier and their markets are generally up. The market is helping, as new car sales were back to 2.3 million in 2013 and are expected to improve again in 2014.”
