Virgin Media Pioneers announces new event to “empower” young entrepreneurs in London

Everyday I’m Hustling to showcase capital’s talent and encourage enterprising activity

Everyday I’m Hustling, a new event aiming to “inspire, engage and empower’ young entrepreneurs in London has been announced by online business community Virgin Media Pioneers.

Organised by young founders Zoë Jackson of Living the Dream and Pilar Nalwimba of My Social Media PA, the evening event is looking to encourage young people living in the capital to “hustle” and create their own jobs.

Running at The Vaults in Waterloo on Tuesday 19, the event will see Innocent Drinks’ Richard Reed share his tips on how to create a successful business alongside upcoming London entrepreneurs who will be discussing their start-up journeys.

These entrepreneurs include Conna Walker of online fashion retailer Celebrity Boutique and founders of theft proof High Spirit Bags, Joshua and John Okungbaiye, recent winners of Virgin Media Pioneer’s Pitch to Rich competition.

Organiser and Virgin Media Pioneer, Pilar Nalwimba commented:

“The challenges of being a young entrepreneur can be overwhelming, so having a platform like Virgin Media Pioneers that provides opportunities like this to get first hand advice from someone as accomplished as Richard Reed, and support from a network of like-minded people, is invaluable.

“There’s so much talent in London and with this event, I hope we can help young people to consider entrepreneurship as an option and inspire them to take the necessary next steps to begin their business journey.”

Discussing the goals behind Virgin Media Pioneers, Sir Richard Branson added:

“There is a huge amount we can do to unlock entrepreneurial potential and Virgin Media Pioneers is empowering young entrepreneurs to fulfill their dreams of owning and managing successful businesses.”
