Vodat International changes hands following £5m MBO

Company hopes to build on £5.5m sales in last financial year

The management team behind Vodat International, a communications systems company in Greater Manchester, has bought out the firm’s founders in a £5m deal.

Managing director Neil Poulter and his team have acquired the Stockport-based business from Mike and Christine Bielinski, with support from Maven Capital Partners.

Vodat recorded sales of £5.5 in the year to March 31, and Poulter said his goal is “to continue our strong growth by building on (our) diverse and innovative products”.

Ryan Bevington, investment director for Maven Capital Partners, added: “We’re delighted to be backing a proven management team which has developed a strong market presence and achieved significant growth despite difficult economic conditions.

“The business is well-placed to achieve further expansion over the next few years, particularly with the roll-out of the new products and services”.
