VouchedFor closes $5.4m to connect consumers with financial experts

London-based client review site has secured Series A funding from Octopus Investments and Samos Investments

London-based client review site VouchedFor has secured $5.4m Series A investment in a deal led by Octopus Investments, with participation from Samos Investments.

Founded in 2012, VouchedFor matches consumers to financial and legal professionals using more than 35,000 vetted client reviews and consumer data.

The company claims to have seen 350% year-on-year revenue growth with a user base of over 7,500 financial advisers, mortgage advisers, solicitors and accountants.

Following a $1.5m seed round backed by DN Capital in 2014, this latest funding will allow the business to develop its technology and marketing platform.

Adam Price, CEO of VouchedFor, commented: “The cash injection of $5.4m will enable VouchedFor to build a reputation economy and ultimately help bring us closer to our ambition of becoming the number one destination to find trustworthy, well recommended professional advisers – no matter what an individual’s circumstance.”

Octopus Investments’ co-founder and CEO, Simon Rogerson, added:

“In the face of changing legislation, sound financial and legal advice is more important than ever. That’s why we’re so excited to be backing VouchedFor who share our passion for excellent customer service.

“VouchedFor’s mission is to help everyone get the best professional advice when making life’s big decisions. By making it easier for consumers to find the right adviser for them, the business offers a valuable service that we believe will become increasingly relevant.”
