Weight loss chain ramps up growth with new franchise additions
Ideal Weight looking to “achieve national recognition” with franchise vacancies across the UK
Weight loss chain Ideal Weight has announced the recruitment of two new franchisees, Helen Whittington and Lauren Smith, who will now operate territories in St Albans and Edinburgh.
Whittington joined the healthy living franchise after successfully losing a stone and a half through the programme; an achievement which she said “helped her to connect to the brand”. The mumpreneur is now looking to “advocate” the changes in behavior that she learnt whilst dieting.
Edinburgh franchisee Smith signed to the franchise network for different reasons; having worked in the weight loss industry since 2007, she was looking to combine running a business with helping people to lose and maintain their own weight and “jumped” when the Ideal Weight opportunity arose.
Launched in 2012, Ideal Weight offers a weight management programme which consists of weekly group coaching sessions to help clients discuss their diets and lose weight, with personalised advice and meal plans.
The company is looking to grow its network across the UK and attract “proactive, enthusiastic” people, and says that franchisees can expect to earn £1,000 per week “and beyond” in the second year.
Whittington shared her aims for the franchise venture:
“Hopefully I can help some of the lovely mummy network and the wider community of Harpenden and Redbourn to be empowered embed mindful eating into their lives.
“The Ideal Weight coaching role gives me more of what I enjoy and am increasingly good at!”
On her long-term franchise goals, Smith said:
“I am currently working very hard on a few corporate opportunities in the city for Ideal Weight and will be offering free health checks at various establishments over the coming weeks and months.
“I enjoy working as a self-employed mother, who can run a business successfully and strike the right work/life balance.”
