Global mapping start-up what3words, featured among the top 20 start-ups of 2013, has been awarded London Technology Week’s title of Innovator of the Year 2015.

Created by business networking group London Innovators and sponsored by IBM, the award was granted to what3words because of its “ingenuity and entrepreneurship” and follows its recent win in Interop’s Tech Startup 10 competition.

Launched in July 2013, what3words generates a unique address code for 57 trillion 3m x 3m grids around the world, by combining three random words from the English language and plans to “transform the way we talk about locations”.
