IC tomorrow, an arm of government innovation agency the Technology Strategy Board, has revealed the five winning advertising start-ups of its Digital Innovation Contest.

Selected to develop “the next generation of innovations in the advertising industry”, the five businesses will each receive up to £25,000 funding and will have the opportunity to trial their solutions with leading brands in the space such as Internet Advertising Bureau UK, Vizeum, Nesta, Mars Chocolate UK and MediaCom.

Divided into four challenges focused around advertising, social media and mobile, the five winning companies are:

  • Analytics SEO – winner of Next-Generation Social Media Analytics Tools
  • Pebble Code – awarded winner of Enhanced TV Advertising
  • Twizoo and Tradebox Media – winners of Innovation in Hyperlocal Advertising
  • InDestinate – winner of the Smart Mobile Advertising challenge

Matt Sansam, programme manager at IC tomorrow, said: “We were delighted by the response we had to this competition.

“The calibre of ideas and innovation that came through was inspiring and it was a tremendous challenge to whittle the applicants down to the winning five. We’d like to thank all of the entrepreneurs who submitted their solutions, and congratulate each of our winners.”
