“World’s most comfortable” mattress raises £2.5m Series A

eve can sleep easy with backing from Octopus and DN Capital to drive expansion into Germany and America

eve, creators of the “world’s most comfortable” mattress, has closed £2.5m Series A investment from venture capital firms Octopus Investments and DN Capital; following a £600,000 funding round in May this year.

Launched in February, eve manufactures and delivers “the most” comfortable mattresses “at a price that’s fair” that come with a 100 night sleep trial and 10 year guarantee.

Nine months after launch, the business claims to have achieved over £2m in sales and boasts the title of the “official mattress of the X Factor” with its mattresses currently being used by the finalists in the X Factor house.

It will use this latest investment to launch in Germany and the USA, and will also boost its marketing campaigns in the UK.

Jas Bagniewski, CEO of eve, said:

“We have always had great confidence that our business would shake up the painfully outdated mattress industry. Consumers now know that there is a much better alternative to outrageous prices, slow deliveries and commission hungry salespeople.

“We have been blown away by the popularity of our product and look forward to using the funding to grow the company further.”

Luke Hakes of Octopus Ventures, said that “eve is a great example of a high growth business bringing technology and innovation to a previously traditional market.”
