You can now list your small business on Apple Maps

Start-ups across UK and Ireland can add location and details using Maps Connect for Small Businesses

Small businesses from across the UK and Ireland can now add their location to Apple Maps using Maps Connect for Small Business, following the launch of Apple’s new Connect website.

Business owners and those with permission to act on behalf of the business can add the address, new details or edit existing details, and issue updates after signing in with an Apple ID.

Amends to location or details will take a week to process and Apple has advised that large firms (big chains or companies with over 100 locations) should  email updates to mapsconnectbusiness@apple.com

The news marks the next step in the evolution of Apple’s Map app – the app was introduced on iPhone’s in 2007 and was powered by Google Maps until September 2012, when Apple created and used its own mapping system.
