London and Prague-based firm helps companies across everything from law to finance and retail remain compliant with global data regulation

Zettabox, a cloud-based storage platform, has completed its first external round of fundraising from Henrik Kraft, the former head of technology and communications, and European technology investor Victor Bischoff.

Founded by James Kinsella and Robert McNeal, London and Prague-based Zettabox provides cloud storage, collaboration and big file transfer for any companies that need to comply with data protection regulation around the world.

Its services are used by businesses across the legal, financial services, research and education, technology, healthcare, media design and retail sectors.

The undisclosed sum of finance will be used to accelerate the Zettabox’s sales and marketing.

Kinsella commented: “We are thrilled to have the support of Henrik and Victor, who have backed some of Europe’s most successful technology startups.

“They are both strategic investors with insight and a passion for the industry who will be very helpful as we build partnerships with tech and telecoms players across the world.”

Kraft added: “I’m very excited about Zettabox and its potential in the cloud services market.

“It has a unique position – providing not just a European solution to meet EU enterprise requirements but also a technology that provides store, sync, share and collaborate technology for companies anywhere they need to host the solution, including on premise.
