David Lester

David Lester started his first business with almost no money when he was just 22 and sold it for millions before he was 30. He has since started several other successful businesses and invested in many more.

David founded Startups.co.uk in 2000 and built it into the UK’s most popular independent website for small businesses. He frequently contributes to national newspapers, magazines and radio as well as regularly speaking at small business events around the UK. David has also co-authored the best-selling How They Started series of books.

In February 2017, David stepped down from Startups.co.uk following the company’s acquisition by fast-growth customer acquisition brand MVF. David is now focusing on his HR start-up citrusHR, which is disrupting HR support for small businesses.
