To date, Naked Wines has enabled 22 winemakers to set up their own operations, thereby strengthening the retailer’s own product range while simultaneously supporting other new businesses. At a time when government is waxing lyrical on the importance of an enterprise-led recovery, Naked Wines is clearly doing its bit, both for its army of loyal customers, and for the wider business community
The judges recognised the enormity of this achievement in such a competitive marketplace and commended founder Rowan Gormley and his team not only for the commercial success of the company, but also for the business’ mission to fund other independent businesses.
