Steph Welstead

Steph has been a business journalist for five years, specialising in small businesses and entrepreneurship.

Throughout this time she has interviewed more than 500 of the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs and business figures, including former chairman of Channel 4 Luke Johnson, Cobra Beer founder Lord Bilimoria, ‘Dragon’ Peter Jones, former international CEO of (RED) Seb Bishop, Ariadne Capital founder Julie Meyer and business minister Mark Prisk.

Meanwhile she has contributed to a number of business books, co-authoring the How They Started series and editing the last two editions of Startups.co.uk’s Start Your Own Business.

She has also sub-edited publications for Baker Tilly, KPMG, IBM and Investors in People, as well as Growing Business magazine, where she was previously features editor.

Steph is now the editor of Startups.co.uk, which offers advice and information on how to start a successful business to more than 200,000 people each month.
