Chirag Shah
Age: 32
Company: Trading Partners

The words ‘supply chain management’ are enough for some people to suffer a bout of narcolepsy. Not Chirag Shah. He’s made Trading Partners a £7m business in less than three years. The rapid pace of growth has taken the 30 person company, which provides web based tools and supply chain optimisation consultancy for its blue-chip clients, from its London base to offices in the US, Europe and Asia.

2016 update:

Shah stepped down as CEO of TradingPartners in 2007. The business has since gone bankrupt. Shah went on to take up the role of chairman at Ecurie International – the owner of a chain of supercar clubs across London, Dubai, Houston and New York. In 2011, he founded another eSourcing system MarketMaker4, which helps procurement professionals determine how, what and when to source and who to source from. MarketMaker4 was sold to Xchanging in 2013, with Shah becoming executive director for procurement business of the buying firm. As of December 2015, the entrepreneur has been the executive chairman of Simfoni, which develops enterprise mobile apps that aid the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of supply chains and procurement.
