In the last two years Ross Bailey’s Startups 100 company Appear Here has transformed the UK retail space with its simple but brilliant proposition: an online marketplace for short-term retail space. 

After setting up a number of successful pop-up shops in key London retail locations, the young entrepreneur knew there must be a better way for landlords and tenants to lease and book flexible space. And, having experienced over 500% growth in bookings and revenue in the last 12 months, it would appear he was onto something.

The company has racked up an impressive list of clients in the last two years including Google, NET-A-PORTER and Marc Jacobs, as well as signing exclusive deals with some of the UK’s biggest landlords. 

Appear Here continues to grow and evolve with 2014 seeing the addition of end-to-end booking and a concierge service – and Landlord Dashboards launched this year to allow landlords to monitor the performance of their space online.

Today there are more than 1,000 spaces listed nationwide and the coming months are expected to witness the launch of two new international locations.
