Champions (UK) plc, the brand agency founded by 2014 haysmacintyre Top Gun Matthew Hayes, has announced the launch of an agency that pairs high profile brands with well-known social media influencers.

Influencer Champions helps brands harness the influence of social media stars with significant online followings, to extend their reach and attract new customers around the world.

Led by senior manager Amelia Neate, who has moved over from the company’s celebrity talent management service, Influencer Champions will work with influencers in a range of sectors including entertainment, fashion, fitness, food & drink, gaming, music, parenting, beauty, home, lifestyle, and travel.

Founded in a Leicestershire village in 2003, Champions now has a team of 80 across 10 different departments including its original five pillars of creative, marketing, PR, events and celebrity, as well as its new areas of digital, web design, publishing, advertising and media.

It counts Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Dior, Barclays, IKEA and Jaguar as clients and also represents the winner of the first series of Big Brother and DIY TV personality Craig Phillips, snooker player Jimmy White and Coronation Street’s William Roache as celebrity clients.

Neate commented: “Working in the celebrity management area, I have become more and more aware of the demand for influencers.

“Where brands were before targeting the likes of TV personalities, they have now turned their attentions to high-profile influencers and the trend has become impossible to ignore. Influencer Champions is a great chance for brands from across the globe to benefit from the undeniable benefits an influencer can bring to their brand.”
