Monitise ranks sixth fastest-growing UK tech company in Deloitte ‘Fast 50’

Global mobile payments provider Monitise has been named as one of the UK’s fastest-growing tech businesses in the 2013 Deloitte Technology Fast 50, marking its third annual appearance in the index.

The list, which ranks companies based on the percentage revenue growth over the past five years, placed London-based Monitise sixth with a percentage increase of 2,319%.

Launched in 2003 by Alastair Lukies, member of the 2007 Young Guns alumni, Monitise has grown to become the largest mobile money specialist in the world with over two billion transactions processed through its site last year.

It joins real-time advertising company Infectious Media on the index, which ranked number one after presenting 9,744% growth, with the total annual revenue from all 50 business topping just over £672m. 

Monitise group chief financial officer, Brad Petzer, commented on the news:

“We are extremely pleased to have been named as the UK’s sixth fastest growing technology company, and more so to have maintained our top 15 position amid such strong competition for the last three years.”
