The Heritage Healthcare (Trafford) story:

For franchisee Mark Collier – managing director of Heritage Healthcare Trafford – interest in the care sector was spurred following his late mother’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.

Collier struggled to find a care provider within his local area for his mother which offered the quality and standard of care that he was looking for. Deciding he could do better and improve the standard of care in his local community overall, Manchester-based Collier became a franchisee for Heritage Healthcare.

And it would appear he could do better: since opening in July 2015, Heritage Healthcare Trafford has delivered more than 38,000 hours of care across South Manchester, Cheshire and the surrounding areas.

Collier’s care team are responsible for home visits of anything from 30 minutes to a  full 24 -hour live in care package, and the service also covers personal care, household, domestic services, companionship, and social support from £18 per hour.

Heritage Healthcare works with its clients and their families to develop tailored, unique care plans that provide the best and most suitable care possible for their individual needs.

As well as providing regular paid training and career progression opportunities to ensure its carers are of the highest standard, Collier runs every care through the mum test: “Would we be happy for that individual to care for our own mum?”

This commitment to quality has helped Collier’s Trafford branch gain recognition as not just a top 10 care provider in the North West, but one of the top 5% of care employers within the UK.
